WHY VOCALDI EXISTS

Built by someone who needed it himself

Vocaldi did not begin as an abstract accessibility idea. It began as a personal tool.

Vocaldi’s founder learned that he was dyslexic while attending college. He knew what he wanted to communicate, but traditional reading and writing workflows did not always match the way he processed ideas.

It started with one person building a workflow that worked better for his dyslexic mind. Now it is available to anyone who wants another way to read and write.

TWO SIMPLE WAYS TO WORK

Speak when it flows. Listen when it helps.

Speak when typing interrupts the thought

Press your activation shortcut and speak naturally. Vocaldi types directly wherever your cursor is—in Notes, Word, Google Docs, Notion, email and other Mac apps.

Capture the complete idea first. Organize, edit and polish it afterward.

Listen when the page becomes difficult to process

Highlight a sentence, paragraph or longer passage and activate read-aloud. Vocaldi reads the selected text immediately, giving you another way to review instructions, drafts, emails and documents.

Switch between seeing and hearing the words without leaving your current app.

The idea is clear. I want to explain the full context before I start editing it.

Get the idea out first. Decide how to organize and refine it afterward.

EVERYDAY WORKFLOWS

Where Vocaldi can reduce everyday friction

01

Capture fast-moving thoughts

Sometimes an idea feels complete in your mind but becomes fragmented while typing it. Speak the full thought while it is present. Vocaldi captures it as text so you can return to the structure, spelling and formatting afterward.

Useful for: ideas, emails, reports, notes and creative work.

02

Begin before the perfect sentence arrives

Starting can create more friction than continuing. Instead of waiting for the ideal opening, press your shortcut and explain what you are trying to communicate. A rough spoken draft gives you something real to organize and improve.

Useful for: blank pages, difficult emails, applications and longer assignments.

03

Turn a brain dump into a plan

Speak every task, concern and unfinished thought into one document. Once it is visible, separate the transcript into priorities, next actions and ideas that can wait. The first step does not need to be organized. It only needs to get the thoughts out of your head.

Useful for: daily planning, project preparation and end-of-day resets.

04

Listen to dense or important text

Long instructions and dense paragraphs can become difficult to follow on screen. Highlight one section at a time and listen to it aloud. Pause between sections and dictate the important actions into a separate checklist.

Useful for: instructions, policies, research, contracts and detailed emails.

05

Proofread through sound

After reading the same document repeatedly, it becomes easy to see what you intended to write instead of what is actually there. Listen for missing words, repetition, unnatural phrasing and sentences that run too long. Hearing the writing gives you a different way to review it.

Useful for: professional email, reports, applications and published writing.

06

Stay inside the app you are already using

Switching between a document, recording application and transcription tool can break concentration. Vocaldi works wherever your cursor is, allowing you to capture the thought without rebuilding your workflow around another application.

Useful for: reducing unnecessary app switching and preserving momentum.

07

Keep personal writing on your Mac

Your thoughts may include private notes, unfinished ideas, personal applications or sensitive professional material. Vocaldi processes dictation and read-aloud locally, helping keep your voice and writing on your device.

Useful for: personal reflection, confidential work and privacy-conscious workflows.

Your thoughts do not need to arrive through a keyboard.

Speak when that feels more natural. Listen when that makes the words clearer. Type whenever you want to.

Vocaldi gives you the freedom to move between all three.
